Vice President of China visited to Pakistan on three days official trip. On the first day of trip Vice president of China inaugurated a number of projects along with Prime Minister Imran Khan and with Cabinet Ministers.

Soon after his arrival at Chaklala airbase, Vice President spoke at Friends of Silk Road hosted by Pakistan and China Institute.

Prime Minister Imran Khan and Vice President of China inaugurated four mega development projects in the field of technology, education and energy under CPEC.

The ceremony was attended by Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Planing Minister Khusroo Bakhtyar, Finance Advisor Abdul Hafeez Sheikh and Members of Chinese delegation.v Under the first project of energy, a transmission line of 660 KV would be laid between Lahore and Matiari from Coal based plants located at Thar, Port Qasim and Hub.

Matiari-Lahore energy project has to supply 2000 MW with 10 percent overloaded capability for two hours. The two leaders also inaugurated confucious Institute at the University of the Punjab. This project focus on Chinese education, Cultural promotion and Cultural exchanges and other projects.

The ceremony also marked the launching of Huawei Technical support center in Pakistan which will be established in Pakistan as China Tech giant Industry to make massive investment in Pakistan, Huawei aims to launch 5G services in Pakistan soon.

On Monday, Chinese Vice President and Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar visited Haier Ruba Economic Zone and also inspects its various sections.

Chinese Vice President and CM Usman Buzdar were briefed about the performance of Haier Ruba Economic Zone. Authorities also briefed about new products about new products of Haier Company.

On this occasion Sardar Usman Buzdar addressed the delegation and said that the Punjab government is trying to promote the industrial sector through new industrial policies and facilities that should be provided to investors in Punjab.

It was decided in meeting that cooperation in agriculture, trade, tourism and education sectors while both officials also decided to promote the partnership between China and Punjab major cities. Vice President of China shows satisfaction at the increasing momentum of bilateral relations between two countries.

President Dr. Arif Alvi conferred Nishan-E-Pakistan, the highest civil award of Pakistan to recognize his services in promoting Pak-China ties in Pakistan. The award was awarded at the President House and attended by the Senate Chairman, members of Federal cabinet, Chiefs of Armed forces, Parliamentarians and diplomats. CM Usman Buzdar aims to alleviate poverty and to implement same poverty model of China.

During the visit of Vice President of China, Pakistan also inaugurated the unit of 660 MW China Power Hub Company coal fired power plant on May, 28 2019 as per schedule.

Both units of CPHGC are providing electricity to the national grid on pre-commissioning trial basis.

CPHGC is a joint venture between CPIH which is Chinese state owned company and it owns 74% and Hubco which owns 26%. The project has focused on to adopt supercritical technology for environment protection.

The Chinese Vice President aimed to strengthened cultural exchanges and people to people collaboration.

Vice President also hoped for effective measures to provide security measures and cooperation exchanges between two countries.
