Prime Minister Imran Khan arrived in Kyrgyzstan on Thursday to attend the 19th meeting of the Council of the Heads of State of Shanghai cooperation organization.
Prime Minister Imran Khan was warmly welcomed by Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan, Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev and Minister for Health Kosmosbek Kosmosbek Sarievich Cholponbaev.
Kyrgyzstan president Sooronbay Jeenbekov headed the chair of Council of the Heads state. PM Imran Khan was accompanied by Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Minister for Youth Affairs, Usman Dar Before departure Foreign Shah Mehmood Qureshi addressed the media and said that Prime Minister Imran Khan will address two sessions of the summit which will be the collective effort towards economic situation and security.
Pakistan became the member of SCO in 2017, attending and participating all levels of foreign affairs, national security, economy and trade, tourism, media and youth empowerment. Besides Pakistan, other member countries, Russia, China, Kazakhstan, India, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
Shanghai Cooperation Organization observers including Iran, Afghanistan, Mongolia and Belarus. During the interview with Russian TV, PM Imran Khan in Bishkek said that Pakistan believes that progress comes with peace and development of the nation and still we are willing to work with India to proceed all options including meditation including to resolve issues with India.
During the Shanghai Cooperation Organization dialogue nothing more than a handshake between Imran Khan and PM Modi and a pleasantry smile between both leaders.
Further PM Imran Khan said that Pakistan is looking for meditation because Pakistan believes progress comes with peace and human development and it detracts from resources that could be spent on human beings. Furthermore, he added
"Pakistan firmly believes in peace and want collaboration with all its neighbours and it is a belief that this amount could be spent on getting people out of poverty and it should be ended on unproductive things like arms."
PM Imran Khan repeatedly conveyed its willingness to talk and said: "
There is no way that two nuclear countries should think of resolving differences via military means.
" Now the elections are over and India has a chance to resolve all issues including Kashmir through dialogue.
Further Imran Khan highlighted the issue of Kashmir and said it is directly connected with the peace of both countries and the issue of Kashmir will be resolved if the people of Kashmir are given the right of self-determination according to the law of 1945.
PM Imran Khan said that Pakistan is looking to expand its relations with Russia in other areas of investment like Energy and that's why Pakistan is strengthening its relations
" Pakistan will send its trade delegation to Russia." We invite all businessmen from Russia to invest in Pakistan and Khan believe that there is a Russian steel mill which is interested to invest in Pakistan steel mill.
PM Imran Khan also talks about the visa process and said that can get the visas at the airport. PM Imran Khan also highlighted the development and construction of 700 Km railroad connecting Russia, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan and Pakistan and it will be a tremendous project which will open business paths for all countries and will bring prosperity to these regions. But Imran Khan said that he couldn't give the timeline for this project because it required peace in Afghanistan and funds .
